The library orders multiple copies of the chosen books so everyone can be prepared.

On Nov. 13, the Club will discuss “Regeneration” by Pat Barker. Pat Endress will lead the discussion about a novel that combines history with fiction to focus on war, soldiers, and the end of a Victorian ideal.

On Dec. 11, the club will discuss “Stoner” by John Williams. Mary Rindfleisch will lead the discussion about a book that was largely unnoticed until the New York Review of Books republished it in 2006. The book focuses on an unhappily married professor who falls in love with another professor of literature.

Call the Library at 860-354-2455 or email sl@biblio.org to reserve a book or to register for a discussion.
